This original surface pattern design is inspired by photographs of the rose-pink camelia bush growing against the side of my mother’s patio wall. I have always loved this bush. The surface design is an abstraction of the pattern of its petals across several blooms from which a central heart emerged without forethought; a joyful result of playing with the patterns.
